Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, Deira - Palm Islands in Dubai
Palm Islands are three artificial islands (The Palm, Jebel Ali, The Palm, Jumeirah and The Palm, Deira), which is currently are building in Dubai (United Arab Emirates ). The islands are called eighth wonder of the world. Each of the three island groups are created in the form of a palm tree. The palm tree-trunk is among the projects “Jebel Ali” and “Jumeirah” about 5 and 4 km long and in the project started as a last “Deira” has the planned length of 14 km. Palm Jebel Ali
Palm Jebel Ali is located approximately 5 km southwest of the Jebel Ali port. Palm Deira
Palm Deira is located approximately 5 km northeast of the center of Dubai, with its base is situated along the coastline of the Deira district. The Palm Deira is the third and largest island, with 8-times more land mass than the Palm Jumeirah, and thus almost as large as the city of Paris. The Palm will be placed 12.5 kilometers out into the sea with a maximum width of 7.5 km. At the end there will be even up to 1.3 million people live and work. 55 percent of the total real estates will be provided for private residential properties, 28 percent for industrial use and 17 percent are mixed use. The construction of this island began in November 2004, in November 2008 were already 36 percent of the land reclamation work is done, about 350,000 tons of sand were needed.
